Leading cross-category manufacturer Johnson & Johnson have worked with SHS Sales & Marketing since 2009 developing their brand visibility in key areas of the market. Based on the significant commercial success that we delivered J&J selected SHS Sales & Marketing to work exclusively across its health and beauty, medicines and oral care portfolio within the whole of the convenience channel in 2013. J&J's key objective was to access our category expertise and sales reach to drive distribution, visibility and awareness of brands such as Johnson's Baby, Sudafed, Benylin, Imodium, Calpol and Listerine. With market leading brands in baby toiletries, medicines and mouthwash J&J looked to us to help convenience retailers understand the importance of these emerging categories to their customers and then how best to merchandise them in store.
With a remit to grow a portfolio of brands worth in excess of £13.5m to the channel₁ we have consistently delivered over 20% year-on-year growth each year we have worked together. These solid commercial results led to a further expansion of the remit with the addition of nutritional brand Splenda towards the end of the year. The team were able to deliver these results through the seamless execution of a retail implementation plan which incorporated car sales, telesales, in-depot POS drives, local promotions and retail club activity amongst other tactics.
